Care tips: This beautiful Calathea has really unusual markings on its leaves that look like a chequerboard pattern. All Calatheas will prefer rainwater to water them with if you have access to it. Tapwater can cause brown leaf tips. If you can’t get rainwater we sell a product from Grow Tropicals called Ecothrive Neutralise that will remove chlorine in your tapwater. Or you can leave your tapwater overnight to let the chlorine dissipate.
Let the compost dry out at the surface between waterings and keep out of direct sunlight but in a bright spot. Feed with a liquid fertiliser during the summer months only.
