Bergs Potter have made high-quality terracotta pots that plants love since 1942. Their pots and planters are designed in Denmark and handcrafted with love from premium quality clay at small, family-owned workshops in northern Italy and Portugal. Firing the clay at extremely high temperatures and using slow-burning firing, gives their pots unique and natural durability. In addition to raw terracotta pots they also make pots and vases in glazed ceramics. High-quality materials and craftsmanship mean our pots will live on from one generation to the next.
The Københavner Pot [Copenhagen Pot] has royal heritage and is one of the first pots designed by Bergs Potter. This noble pot is inspired by pottery made at the Royal Danish Palace of Fredensborg in 1860. Still one of Bergs’ most popular designs, their potters still make it by hand in a small village near Lucca in Tuscany. The legacy of the Københavner Pot adds an element of regal elegance even when paired with the humblest plant.
This is the Raw Rosa Københavner pot which we have in six sizes. These pots have drainage holes which means you can plant directly into them. Before you plant into these pots make sure you soak them in water, the colour will change from light to dark. This enables the pot to breathe, creating an ideal, breathable yet moist environment for the roots.
