Small & Green terrarium workshopTerrarium workshops

Our terrarium workshop will start with a short introduction on the history of terrariums and how they work as mini ecosystems. We will show you a range of plants that are suitable to use and explain why we use activated charcoal and springtails in each of our terrariums.
We will then do a short demonstration showing the steps on how to create one and then it will be up to you to get your hands in there and start building!  Creating your very own terrarium to take home and watch grow!

This workshop includes:

  • Glass vessel
  • Plants such as Fittonias, small ferns and cushion moss
  • Soil, gravel, activated charcoal, decorative stones
  • Use of special terrarium tools during the workshop
  • Care guide to take home

Small & Green potting workshopPlant care and potting on workshop

This workshop is approximately 1.5 hours.

This workshop is perfect for any plant enthusiast! You will learn all about houseplants and how to look after them all through the year. This includes information on watering , feeding and pest control.

You will then get the opportunity to learn how to pot on a tiny houseplant into a terracotta pot to take home with you.

This workshop includes:

  • Terracotta pot and matching saucer
  • All materials including substrate and tiny plant
  • Information sheet covering plant care to take home with you

Small & Green succulents workshopPlanting a succulent bowl workshop

This workshop is approximately 1.5 hours.

In this workshop you will learn all about cacti and succulents, their care and differences. You will then get to plant a small terracotta bowl with a selection of succulents after watching a short demonstration.

This workshop includes:

  • Terracotta bowl with matching saucer
  • Succulent plants such as Crassula, Sedums, Sansevierias.
  • Soil and gravel
  • Care guide to take home

Book your place by clicking on a workshop image above and selecting the date you want. A confirmation will be sent once payment has been received.

Cancellation policy of Small & Green

If you have to cancel your workshop we can only offer a full refund if you cancel more than 2 weeks prior to the event giving us enough time to fill your place on the course. If it is under 2 weeks before the event we cannot refund your ticket. You can however pass your ticket onto a friend for them to take your place on the course providing you give us notice of this. We will then need the new participant’s full name, address and contact details.
