Care tips: Aeoniums are fleshy succulent plants native to Madeira, the Canary Islands and North Africa. They make excellent low maintenance houseplants but can be grown outside if protected from the cold and wet. Their main growing season is spring and autumn. They can go dormant in hot periods and this can be determined by the rosettes becoming tighter and the outer leaves dropping off. This is perfectly normal. They need less water at this time.

Let them completely dry out between watering. Water thoroughly in spring and autumn and more sparingly in summer and winter. Feed with a specialist plant food in the growing season.

They are monocarpic which means they will die after flowering, however on branching varieties only the rosette that produced the flower will die. It is a good idea to take cuttings of your plant. Ask us in the shop how to do this.

Pet safe: Yes they are safe for pets.
