Turtle bags began in a response to Beth, Turtle bag founder and ecologist, being horrified by the amount of plastic waste ending up in our oceans. She wanted to raise awareness of the problem and to offer an alternative to plastic carrier bags.
Turtle are a long term member of British Association of Fair Trade which makes sure that there are fair conditions for those making the bags and that the supply partners share the environmental values as the brand.
The bags are cotton and bear the Fairtrade Cotton mark and the Global Organic Logos.
